My name is Kay Roberts and I an education major from Texas Tech University's College of Education. The most amazing part of my life is my son. He is 15 and his name is William. Beyond teaching and being a family oriented person, I am an artist at heart. I have dabbled in many forms of art my whole life. Currently, I am very taken with writing, drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting, and photography. I also love to read, watch Netflix, and play video games.

My education did not come easily for me, and even as a kid, I had to work hard just to get one. As a result, I have a great passion for meeting each student where they are and helping them be the best that they can be. In my classroom, I like to have a balance of structure and exploration. As an artist and a free spirit, I think everyone should get their hands dirty while they learn. I think that each person works and learns differently, so education should be flexible enough for every student to learn how to be a problem solver. I think all students are capable of more than they know, and I will have done my job the way I hope if I can help my students discover their own potential.
